 The 5th SEERC Conference took place in Sarajevo on June 4–5\, 2025\, hoste
 d by Bosnia and Herzegovina.&nbsp\;This conference\, the fifth in the trad
 ition of SEERC regional gatherings\, was held at Hotel Hills Sarajevo and 
 brought together over&nbsp\;400 participants&nbsp\;from&nbsp\;23 countries
 \, including experts\, researchers\, industry professionals\, and represen
 tatives of international organizations in the field of electric power syst
 ems.\nThe event was officially opened by&nbsp\;Mr. Edhem Bičakčić\, Presid
 ent of SEERC\, followed by keynote speeches from&nbsp\;Rannveig S. J. Løke
 n\, Chair of the CIGRE Technical Council\, and&nbsp\;Prof. Klaus Fröhlich\
 , Honorary President of the 5th SEERC Conference. Keynote speakers include
 d&nbsp\;Prof. Mladen Kezunović&nbsp\;from Texas A&amp\;M University\,&nbsp
 \;Mr. Angelo Ferrante\, Secretary General of Med-TSO\, and&nbsp\;Dr.&nbsp\
 ;Ajla Merzić\, Vice President of NC CIGRE Bosnia and Herzegovina. The&nbsp
 \;SEERC Award Ceremony&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;handover of the SEERC Presidency to
  NC CIGRE Croatia&nbsp\;were held during the closing session.\nAccording t
 o the program\,&nbsp\;137 accepted papers&nbsp\;were presented across&nbsp
 \;four main conference topics&nbsp\;and one&nbsp\;special session\, coveri
 ng:\n\nIncreasing energy efficiency of existing facilities and increasing 
 renewable energy capacities.\nNew technologies and methodologies for accel
 erated decarbonization and digitalization of electric power systems.\nDeve
 lopment of electricity market balancing and dynamic regulation.\nResilienc
 e issues on the electric power systems.\n\nSpecial session: Functionality 
 of power systems and equipment.\nFour distinguished panel discussions enri
 ched the event:\n\nWIE (Women in Energy)&nbsp\;focusing on bridging academ
 ia and industry through women’s leadership\,\nNGN (Next Generation Network
 )\, spotlighting career development for young professionals\,\nGIZ PANEL: 
 Distribution grids in Western Balkans and EU – current challenges and futu
 re steps\nHISTORY PANEL\n\nIn addition to the technical sessions\, the con
 ference featured&nbsp\;commercial presentations&nbsp\;by leading companies
 \,&nbsp\;an exhibition\, and a&nbsp\;gala dinner&nbsp\;that offered a valu
 able networking opportunity. Deserving individuals who significantly contr
 ibuted to the profession and to the establishment of SEERC were awarded fo
 r the first time at this event.\nThis Sarajevo edition marked an important
  milestone in the SEERC legacy\, strengthening cooperation in South-East E
 urope and showcasing innovations for a sustainable energy future.\n&nbsp\;
