On the margin of the CIGRE Administrative Council session, the CIGRE-SEERC MB meeting was held on September 15, 2025. In Istanbul, Turkey. There were several important items on the agenda, and below is a brief overview of the discussion on the proposed agenda items.

At the beginning, the nomination of members of MB as well as TAC was confirmed. At the bottom of the website there are tables with MB and TAC members as proposed by NC CIGRE members of SEERC. The Minutes of the Meeting MB SEERC held in Sarajevo was accepted.

The documentation related to the Memorandum of Understanding has been completed. Signing the memorandum is a formal act that some NCs signed and some did not, so that part of the documentation had to be consolidated and formalized.

The next item on the agenda refers to the proposed amendments to the Rules of Operation. Given that a lot of time has passed since the last changes, it was time for few updates. All remarks have been accepted, so one can find the currently valid RoO at the bottom of this web page.

The next item on the agenda was the decision on the next chairmanship of MB SEERC from 2028. Given that CIGRE NC Croatia holds the chairmanship for three years, there is enough time to make a decision in time. At the MB SEERC meeting in Sarajevo, it was agreed to abandon the alphabetical order of chairmanships. The decision on the next chairmanship of MB SEERC will be made by the MB SEERC based on the candidacies to be submitted by MB SEERC, so the MB SEERC will make a decision on the basis of these candidacies during 2026.

The next item on the agenda was the decision on the venue and date of the next MB SEERC meetings and colloquiums. It was decided that SEERC members should nominate the organization of meetings and colloquiums and that these candidacies should be submitted to MB SEERC, so that a decision on the venue and date of the next meetings and colloquiums could be made based on the proposals. One of the more important issues to be resolved in the coming period is the date of the CIGRE-SEERC conference in 2028.
